3/8 Transportation Sales Tax

You, the citizens of Ozark, have overwhelmingly voted yes to invest in your transportation future. The City leaders and staff recognize that the new funds generated from the 3/8 cent sales tax is your money, to be used to complete your projects, for the betterment of your community. We thank you for entrusting your city leaders and staff to complete the projects in your 5-year plan.

On April 4 2017, voters in the City of Ozark voted and APPROVED a 3/8 cent sales tax to fund transportation upgrades.  Proposed improvements will expand intersections, make sidewalk and crosswalk upgrades, and help OSRD fund a new bridge replacement, local street and pedestrian improvements.

The new sales tax will begin in October 2017 and run till 2022



With the new 3/8 cent Sales Tax, the city will be able to fund new community trails, improve sidewalks near South Elementary School

Ozark Special Road District, Christian County, and the City of Ozark have signed an intergovernmental agreement to move forward with a new Riverside Bridge.

Blunt-McCaskill Bill to Expedite Riverside Bridge Replacement Heads to President’s Desk

WASHINGTON – Missouri U.S. Senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill today commended House passage of their legislation to expedite the replacement of the Riverside Bridge in Ozark, Mo. The century-old bridge has been closed for five of the last seven years, with its most recent closure dating back to July 2015.
