New Water Rates Effective December 1st, 2013
The Ozark Utility Billing Department will have new water rates effective December 1st, 2013
The City of Ozark adopted a Water System Facility Plan in 2012 to outline the improvements needed for the City’s current water supply, storage, and distribution systems. The improvements will be implemented in a three phase plan and will be needed to meet new water quality monitoring requirements of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, provide the necessary storage capacity, and to improve overall operations of the existing distribution system.
December 2013 is the implementation of Phase 2 of the Water System Facility Plan which will create a new water supply well, a 300,000 gallon elevated storage tank in the central pressure zone; water line improvements for connection of the well/tank site to existing system, and implementation of stand-by power installation at all current well sites.
The average household utilizes 7200 gallons of water; with the additional 0.64 cents per thousand gallon the average household will see an increase of approximately $4.60 on their monthly bill. For additional questions about the water rates please contact the Utility Billing Department at 417-581-2744.
