The City of Ozark will hold a public hearing on a proposed sewer rate adjustment. The public hearing, at which any interested person may provide input, will be held on: Monday, October 19 Ozark Community Center 1530 W. Jackson St. @ 7:00 P.M. Proposed Sewer rates inside the city limits will be: $10.00 for the first 1,000 gallons (minimum charge) and, $8.00 per 1,000 gallons thereafter. Sewer charges are calculated on resident’s water usage for the month. Locations outside the city limits will charged $15.00 for the first 1,000 gallons and $12.00 per 1,000 gallons thereafter. Sewer rates have not had an increase since 2011. An increase in the rate would ensure the sewer funds may be used to improve aging sewer infrastructure within the City’s growing community while remaining in compliance with Federal Clean Water Act regulations.
