A native of southwest Missouri, Chris settled in Ozark in 2022 after graduating from law school at the University of Alabama. He lives in Ward I along with his fiancé, Sarah, and their son, Theodore. Chris serves as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Christian County, where he is dedicated to seeking justice and restitution for victims of theft, fraud, and other property-related crimes. As a prosecutor, Chris has the privilege of working alongside our local police officers on a daily basis. Through this work, he has developed a deep appreciation for the role they play in keeping our community safe. Chris is also a member of the Christian County Bar Association.
Prior to law school, Chris tried his hand at several jobs, from teaching high school in southwest Colorado to newspaper reporting in the mountains of Montana. Chris received his bachelor’s degree from Emory University, majoring in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology.
Chris is an accomplished hiker, having backpacked from Tennessee to Maine on the Appalachian Trail, a distance of roughly 1,900 miles. In their free time, Chris and Sarah enjoy exploring local trails, playing tennis, and attending group fitness classes at the OC. They are aspiring gardeners and regulars at the Ozark Farmers Market at Finley Farms. Chris is honored to represent the people of Ward I and to serve as their voice in government.
