Security video is one of the most effective tools for identifying suspects and solving crimes. Ozark residents and business owners can now voluntarily register the location of their security cameras with the police department. This information helps officers quickly identify nearby cameras that could assist in a criminal investigation.
OPD will not have live access to your video feeds. The registration simply lets officers know that cameras are in the area. If a crime occurs nearby, OPD may contact you to request relevant footage that could aid the investigation.
